Feeling Kind of Groggy

Hi Hi!!

So yesterday was such a lazy day for me and I really need today to NOT be like yesterday. I have an oral exam for my Spanish class tomorrow and I need to make sure that I do well in order to keep up my good grade in that class.

So yesterday, basically I slept in until about 11:30ish and then just hung out until Austin got off work at 2. Then we ate lunch and met up with some friends down at the pool for about an hour. Then we went and played volleyball for a bit, then we went to CiCi's for dinner and then we went out to a bar in Midtown called The Grog.

Last time I wore this dress, I went swing dancing with two of my closest friends. The dress fit a lot better 3 years ago....It's insane to think that I've gained 30 pounds since I started college...

But! I am going to be watching what I eat this week and trying to get to the gym some more because my friend Brittany is having her birthday party next Saturday and it's a bbq/pool party so I kinda need to get myself looking not so icky.

Financial Frustrations

Hi hi!!

So, anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE LOVE LOVE fashion and I love shopping. And I constantly browse around at sites online and my wishlists are constantly growing by the day haha
ANDDDD....right now there are some things I want, but I'm not sure if I can get them because I have some things that I need to buy for my apartment.

M.I.A.

Hiii!!

So it's been a few days since I've posted and I've just been pretty busy and will be for the next week! I missed two pretty cute outfits that I put together today and yesterday :( My camera is broken so I never think to take pictures of my outfits and I am usually so ready to just get into comfy clothes that I just rip the outfit off as soon as I'm home.

Anywho! Yesterday I went to meet with Famous Footwear and the manager said that he really wants to put me on as part-time, but he thinks that all his part-time positions are filled and I would only be put on as Seasonal, which means I can only work for 90 consecutive days...also, even if I was put on as part-time, he said I'd only be getting like 1-2 shifts a week :/ That's just not going to work out for me. I need to be able to go grocery shopping and shop for like shampoo and toothpaste and things like that and I can't do that and go out to eat or get gas or treat myself to something nice every once in awhile with 1-2 4 hour shifts a week. But I also put all my apps back in at:

Which brings me to how horrible my current job is right now. On Monday night, I was closing with Joey (who knows what he's doing and has been at Firehouse for over a year now and I just really enjoy working with him) and Divvia (who's been there for like maybe almost a year or like 9-10 months, and even though she's kinda slow, she knows what she's doing and can actually make sandwiches). I have worked with at least 1 new person every shift I've had for the past 3 weeks and I'm just sick of having to constantly show people what to do and have to take on more responsibility than I already have....

Which brings me back to Monday. I got to work like 10 minutes early and was hanging out in the back until I realized that they were getting kind of busy (it was a new girl and another manager by themselves) so I went up to help. The store was trashed and Amber (the manager whom no one likes at work) was telling me about all the extra slicing she had to do because she underestimated in the morning and how busy it was all day, blah blah blah. So I forgot to clock-in, which meant I clocked in like 5-6 minutes late (which really isn't a big deal) and then Divvia comes in and Amber goes in the back to do the paperwork she needs to do and makes the deposit and whatever. So she sends Meagan (the new girl) home around 4:20ish. Amber comes out ready to leave (the store is still a disaster) and I ask her if I need to do night prep and produce and she says yes. So she leaves and I go to look at the schedule for that day and I see that Amber and Brandon (her fiance who also is a manager) were supposed to be there til 4, Meagan was supposed to be off at 2 and another new kid Drew was scheduled til 3...HOW DOES MEAGAN HAVE TO STAY 2 HOURS LATE, YET BRANDON'S NOWHERE TO BE FOUND AND DREW HAD BEEN SENT HOME?!?!?
Well, basically Amber had left me a super long note about everything that hadn't been done, which included THE TRASH NOT BEING TAKEN OUT FROM SUNDAY NIGHT! Like what even?
Well, even though we weren't busy, we were way behind with having to try to recover from everything that hadn't been done before and so like 25 minutes before we close,  we called in Donnie (a manager in training) to come help us close. He was there for like 10 minutes before my boss called him and told him to "clock out and leave the store". I was in the cooler doing the daily count during this whole call. My boss didn't even ask to speak to me.
Needless to say, I was incredibly upset for the rest of the shift and was in shock with how surprisingly well and "early" (40 minutes after close) we got out. I sent my boss a very unhappy text and he didn't even seem to care....

So I go to work in about 45 minutes and my boss should be there, so we'll see what happens.

Hello All!!

So today, as planned, I went out and put in a bunch of applications at places in the mall or elsewhere around town. NONE OF THEM ARE HIRING! I have to go back and drop off all the applications that I picked up but the places I applied for as of now are:

Rant!

Hello world!

So today I just feel like venting and ranting. Could it be because it's "that" time? Yeah possibly haha
So anyways, my boyfriend is out of town in Pittsburgh right now for his academic quizbowl team that he's on for his department. I took him very early to the airport yesterday and he will be back Tuesday afternoon. I hate when he leaves because I get so lonely and so bored because I really don't have many friends up here. And the ones I do have are like only my friends when Austin's here. (Austin=boyfriend) I met most of them through him since I'm a year behind all of them and when I came up here and reconnected with Austin (long story, no time) I met all his friends and became a part of the group. Unfortunately, it's not so happy-go-lucky. Practically none of them have my number and they never ask for it, so when there's a party or they wanna go play vball, I have to get my invite through Austin or I get no invite at all. Most of the time I'm just a +1 anyways; like Austin gets invited and then he invites me to come. So when he leaves, if I'm not working, I'm just sitting in my room watching tv shows or movies on the computer or doing homework or cleaning or just doing random things to pass the time while I wait for him to come home. This weekend, thankfully, I have work last night and tonight and then tomorrow I am going application whoring and job hunting and then taking a Zumba class tomorrow late afternooon/early evening.

I guess I just kinda wish my friends were up here with me :( I have barely gotten to see them this summer and when I do go home I still feel like I never see them because schedules don't match up or they're on vacation or something. And I totally understand what it's like to have a busy schedule or not be able to do things, but I guess it's still just as disappointing. I guess I'm a little bummed too because no one came to visit me this summer :( I'm the kind of person who if we say "hey let's do this or that or go here" I'll follow through on the plans because that's just who I am; I'm a people-pleaser. It's just hard knowing that I would do something for someone and it doesn't happen for me :/ But like I said before, I guess it's just hard with schedules.

Only 2 more weeks of school though! I can't even believe how fast it's gone by! This second half of the summer though, I have totally slacked off. I guess it's just me being for fried from school and just not wanting to do anything. Plus the new class I have, I hate and the new teacher I have for Spanish, I now hate. It's just a lose/lose here.

I have to move out of my sub-lease by next Saturday and stay with Austin for a week. I am dreading have to pack up all my stuff again and then condense it into his living room and then try to live like that for a week and then pack up stuff and go home for 10 days and then come right back and move it all into a new apartment! UGH! But on the brightside, me and my roommate Andrea are living right above Austin :) Things will be sooooo convenient.

Well, I need to go finish laundry and get ready for work! Byess!

Here They Are!

Here are my brand-spankin'-new Ray Bans!!! Ah, I am so in love! I have been wanting these sunglasses for probably close to 3 years now. I saw them on a bunch of people when I first started college and I loved how simple and casual, yet trendy they looked. I, of course, wanted them over-sized (as do I want everything else hehe), but the only drawback was the price. 

Well, now that I have enough money I decided "hey! why not?" and went on the hunt. OF COURSE! all the sunglasses places didn't carry these particular ones anymore or only had the over-sized ones in black (I wanted tortoise). Then I was told by a guy at one sunglasses stand that this particular style is being retired and not manufactured anymore! I was clearly devastated. BUT! I was browsing around on zappos.com and saw that they carried sunglasses. And to my astonishment, they had the EXACT pair I wanted. So of course I got them :)

Of course my case is slightly broken and was that way since the package was delivered(the button doesn't snap to close it). So I think we have an old RayBan case at my house, so I will be on the lookout for it when I go home for break!

Things I'm Loving and Things I'm Wanting

Hey blogging world!
So I thought that it would be nice to make a post about some things that I'm using and loving right now!

First, Dial's Soft and Clean Soy and Almond Milk Bodywash

This stuff smells incredible! I really love taking a shower and using this stuff because seriously it smells so tasty and amazing. And after my shower, my skin feels super soft. I really want to try to find this as a lotion once my other stuff runs out.

Second are my TOMS.

I seriously love these shoes. They are so comfy and breathable. As the salesman said, "the perfect summer shoe". I wore them today and I feel like I could walk forever in them and my feet would never hurt.

Lastly, I'm loving this make-up palette I bought off makeupgeek.com.

These colors are so pretty and super perfect for my tastes when it comes to eye makeup. Plus, this will hold me over until I can afford (and stomach!) paying $40 something for the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

Which brings me to my wishlist!!

1.Milani Retractable  Easyliner in the color Blue Eyes

I am reallyyyy wanting to try out navy blue liner because I feel like it would really make my blue eyes POP!


2.Minnetonka Moccasins

My friend Kahla over at kahla-sansom.blogspot.com, has these and I have really wanted a pair for awhile now. I had a pair of real Indian moccasins when I was a little kid.

3.Michael Kors white ceramic watch

I have been wanting a white watch for I don't even know how long! And of course my heart tugs towards MK. This watch is quite an investment but hopefully one day I'll own it!

Outfit of the Day!

Happy Monday! Today I decided that I was going to finally wear my new ankle boots that I had bought at Target about a week or so ago. The dress I was originally going to pair it with doesn't fit me as well as it used to, but hey! that's more incentive to get to the gym and start eating better!!

Please excuse the horrible quality of this picture! My camera is currently dead and I am waiting to save up and buy myself a new one. I decided to pair my gray "Robin Hood-esque" booties with the dress I wore for my birthday dinner. The gray complemented the blue and brown in the dress and the overall look was pretty casual. These boots are really comfy (right now they're a bit stiff but they'll relax in time with wear) and the dress is PERFECT for the hot and humid Gainesville summer.

HELLO BLOGGING WORLD!

Sooooo here is my feeble attempt at making and (hopefully) maintaining a blog. I had made a blog on here before my freshman year of college that was supposed to be dedicated to the fashion around my campus. Well needless to say I didn't keep up with it :/ So after a little bit of inspiration from my friend Kahla (check out her blog at kahla-sansom.blogspot.com) I have decided to start up a new blog! I am really going to try and keep up with this one more this time! 
I have a tumblr and originally I thought that it would suffice with me posting my outfit of the day and emotional ramblings, but I just haven't because, like in real life, I get self-conscious and don't feel like putting my feelings and pictures of myself on their because I don't feel "trendy" or "hipster" enough for people to care on tumblr. 
So there ya have it! This will be my new baby! I am off in about 45 minutes to see the new Harry Potter movie and I am very excited for it :)
